About

Background

I’m a Nigerian software engineer. I’ve been building software since high school, mostly in environments where implementation details matter: regulated fintech, statewide government systems, telecom infrastructure, logistics, and enterprise platforms operating at scale.

I gravitate toward systems where the cost of getting it wrong is real: payment infrastructure, government platforms, regulated environments. Those constraints force better thinking, which is why I keep seeking them out. Largence comes from the same instinct; legal work in Nigeria and the UK is broken in ways you only see once you’re inside it, and I believe software can fix a meaningful part of that. I care more about whether something holds up under real conditions than whether it looks impressive on paper.

Work

  • Senior Software Engineer at Vestrapay — payment rails for a licensed Nigerian PSP. NestJS service layer, BullMQ async workers, DynamoDB audit store, HTTP interceptor middleware, webhook ingestion, and cross-cutting platform engineering in a regulated fintech environment.
  • Software Consultant at Abia State Government — statewide IGR platform and multi-tenant government systems across 30+ MDAs. Principal architect of AbiaAtlas, engaging directly with executive stakeholders; contributed technical frameworks for project monitoring, visibility, and tracking adopted into the state’s 25-year development plan.
  • Software Infrastructure Engineer at Suburban Fiber Company — control plane for Suburban Cloud, an in-house replacement for cPanel and Plesk. VM provisioning microservice: compute allocation, power-state orchestration, golden-image cloning, and purchase-triggered instance delivery — fully automated, zero manual handoffs.
  • Lead Software Engineer at JM Rubinus — owned Rubi end-to-end across React Native, Spring Boot microservices, and a Kafka event bus. Real-time dispatch via Distance Matrix API, rider matching, Paystack capture, and a multi-tenant ops dashboard for onboarding and earnings.
  • Software Engineer at Phillips Consulting — migrated PENCOM’s Accrued Rights Computation Module off Oracle; rearchitected the data layer for query throughput and operability. Led full-stack training on distributed systems, SQL/NoSQL data stores, REST API design, and frontend architecture for PENCOM and NYSC engineers.
  • Consulted at Geometric Power — Nutanix hyperscale topology and horizontal scaling strategy for a contactless electricity billing platform. Capacity planning, fault-domain layout, and production traffic handling at scale.
